You need some third-party software to use Helptrix Author.
For creating and editing help content:
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher from Microsoft (on WindowsXP is alerady installed). It is provided by Microsoft for free (download).
For creating outputs in Helptrix Author:
- JRE (Java Runtime Environment) form Sun. It is provided by Sun for free (download). Please use only Sun JRE 1.4 and higher and not JVM from Microsoft.
- If you are going publish HTML Help, you will also need HTML Help Workshop from Microsoft. It is provided by Microsoft for free (download).
For viewing created PDF files:
- Acrobat Reader from Adobe. It is provided by Adobe for free (download).
