Helptrix project is represented by a project file with ".htx" extension. But project content (book with chapters and topics) is stored in a several files with ".xml" extension in the subfolder with same name as the project file, located in the same folder as the project file. Be careful to not delete this folder manually because all project content would be lost. Open previously saved project is possible from the File menu or by button on the Common toolbar or by keyboard shortcut Ctrl-O.

Now, project has been opened successfully. Full path to opened project file is displayed on the Helptrix Author window title bar with main language abbreviation in brackets.
