Helptrix Author is a help authoring tool for writing and editing help or manual. In fact it is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor in three-pane style: book table of contents (ToC) on the left, window for editing topics on the right, menu and toolbars at the top.

Design of a help structure takes place in book ToC via pop-up menu. You can insert new chapters and topics, delete them, or reorganize them by drag'n'drop method.

When creating content of topic, you can write texts, insert images, links, create lists or notes. All this is possible using buttons on the toolbar. Helptrix Author allows you to focus on content you are writing instead of formatting: you can insert pre-defined elements into your topics. Let's assume note in the text: you don't have to set formatting (font, indentation, background color) for each note again and again (and rememeber it!) - in this editor you just insert note element, and all notes will look exactly same way in every output. This approach preserves united look of your help systems and manuals.
